As I was seeking academic research guidance for a social-emotional learning platform, I met Dr. Kripa Sundar, PhD, via a Google Scholar thread. With this support, we formalized the learning logic model and our first K-12 pilots. Dr. L. Yuan Wang, PhD, stepped in when we implemented the agenda generator for Loyola Stritch School of Medicine's mentorship program. Under the guidance of Dr. Trent Reed, DO, MSMEd, CHSE, FACEP, and Dr. Cynthia Chaidez, PhD, we advanced from pilot through formal IRB submission, gaining recognition from the NSF seed pitch and the AAMC for use of AI in undergraduate MedEd.

At Innit I worked through the full kitchen journey with a gallery of home appliance partners. At my own start-up, Cleu, we were recognized as the first Works with Nest (WWN) app to ensure circadian rhythm aligned wake-up routines and perfectly timed power naps on the inaugural Apple Watch App Store. From there we expanded the IoT ecosystem through BSH coffee machines, dryers, and ventilation hoods. Most recently, I have been building software around vestibular aligned experiences for AirPods Pro. Although I have not shipped my own HW product, I do not see as many blockers with the democratization of AI-enabled CAD.

In January 2026 I migrated DistrictZero legacy AWS infrastructure from Create React App (CRA) to Next.js on Vercel. I pair-programmed with Vercel Chief Product Officer Tom Occhino on legacy libraries, lambda functions, and environment variables, and shipped the front end to production. Migration planning surfaced many gotchas; 12 rules from that work shipped in the public cra-to-next-migration skill, now past 800 installs. I have built full-stack teams from high school CS interns to principal engineers, data scientists, product managers, and UX designers. When help is not immediately available, I wear the hat and ship.
